LA PUENTE — A fire scorched a home and sent one person to the hospital Thursday, authorities said.
The fire was first reported at 12:24 p.m. at a single-story house in the 500 block of Sandsprings Drive, Los Angeles County Fire Department officials said.
Firefighters doused the flames within 20 minutes, officials said. One patient was taken to a hospital with injuries initially described as smoke inhalation.
No further details were immediately available.
